What are the criteria to become a disaster housing inspector with VIS?

Must be U.S. citizens; be able to pass a moderate background check with FEMA; be able to deploy to various declared disaster locations for possible extended periods of time; hold a valid driver's license; be able to self-support in the field for up to three weeks; possess a working knowledge of the English language; have the ability to work under high stress conditions while maintaining a professional demeanor; possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to climb stairs, walk long distances, and maintain up to 10 hour work days; understand basic building construction and housing inspection terms. Basic math and computer skills are a plus. High school diploma or GED is highly encouraged.
